About the Event
Join Emma & Ingela online, Wednesday October 6pm for a live online workshop where we will be hosting and intimate and interactive session covering the various aspects of stage presence, performance techniques and overcoming the blocks of stage fright and performance anxiety.
In this session we will look at: -What makes a great performer -How to develop your stage presence and personal performing style -How to overcome and manage the blocks stopping your from singing with confidence -How to sing and perform with joy not judgement
- understanding the basic physiological, mental, and emotional effects of anxiety
- building our "coping skills toolkit"
- developing empathy for ourselves
- importance of self-care
- creating actionable and specific goals for performance
Ingela is a classical singer who continues to perform professionally, as well as a licensed therapist and a performance anxiety coach.
She has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in vocal performance, as well as a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health. Ingela is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) practicing in the state of New Mexico, and I am a Board Certified Coach (BCC). I've presented on performance anxiety at institutions such as: Colby College, Tulane University, Fort Lewis College, the University of New Mexico, Rio Grande NATS, Albuquerque Music Teachers' Association, the New Mexico School for the Arts, Portland State University, Youth Opera of El Paso, and the University of Texas at El Paso.
